Information

The doctors, office staff and other health workers in the centre, The Primary Health Care Team, work to provide our patients with comprehensive medical services of the highest possible quality.

Our staff will be happy to advise you on the best possible use of these services - please feel free to ask their advice. They are under an absolute duty of confidentiality in the same way as a nurse or doctor.

Young doctors, GP registrars, often join us for one year to gain experience in general practice, having previously worked only in a hospital. They are otherwise fully qualified. Please accept them as one of the team.

Appointments

Consultation at the Health Centre is by appointment. To arrange this please contact reception between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm. Every effort will be made to give you an appointment with the doctor or nurse of your choice but this may not be possible at short notice or in an emergency. If you feel that you have an urgent problem, please inform the receptionist, who will advise you how best to obtain appropriate medical attention.

Home Visits

You may request this if a patient is too ill to attend the Health Centre. Please try to request visits before 10.30am to assist the doctors in planning their work for the day.

Repeat Prescriptions

These should be previously agreed with the doctors. 48 hours' notice should be allowed for provision of the prescription. Phone requests for repeat prescriptions should be made by calling the 'Repeat' line 01848 331126, available 24 hours.

Disabled Access

Our premises are equipped with access ramps, automatic doors and suitable toilets.
